We are so excited to be hosting our first hospital event tomorrow. Several weeks ago we connected with a couple of social workers at an area children’s hospital. They began sending us applications for assistance from families they dealt with. We called to formally introduce ourselves and the foundation and were surprised to find that they didn’t really remember how they found us, they just did!
We have been able to help some of the families they have referred to us. Tomorrow, with the help of Chick-fil-A in Pompano, owned by Seth Poor, we will be taking lunch to the patients and their families as well as providing sandwiches to the nurses. We have collected some goodies and handmade pillows and those will be passed out to the patients as well.
We are looking forward to this event and many more to come just like it!
